Atlantic Chapter of APCO / NHEDA Joint Training Conference and Vendor Exposition

This Call for Papers invites APCO or NHEDA members, business professionals, industry associates, and educators to submit a written proposal for development of an educational program, workshop, or panel discussion for the Atlantic Chapter of APCO / NHEDA Joint Training Conference and Vendor Exposition. The Atlantic Chapter of APCO covers the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Presentation proposals should be of interest to public-safety communications professionals and should not be product or brand specific. This is an educational and networking event for public safety communications professionals and technicians who support their work to explore the most critical issues affecting the 9-1-1 industry.

The conference attendees include front line Telephone and Radio Telecommunicators, Supervisors, Managers and Directors, Radio/IT Technicians and Managers, and Emergency Management personnel involved in public-safety communications.

The Atlantic Chapter of APCO / NHEDA Joint Training Conference and Vendor Exposition is seeking high-quality and unique presentation sessions for a variety of attendees and interests. Presentation sessions should be relevant and timely to 9-1-1 center operations and/or the public-safety communications industry. Proposed sessions typically fit into the following categories: Front line Operations; Supervision and Management; Health and Wellness; Public Information and Education; Technology: and General/Special Interest. Presentations are normally 50 minutes long, however, a 1 hour, 50 minute session will be allowed if the topic requires additional time.

Presenter Guidelines and Registration:

Presenters are responsible for all travel related expenses, such as airfare, mileage, parking, hotel, meals, etc. Presenters will receive a one day pass for the Atlantic Chapter of APCO / NHEDA Joint Training Conference and Vendor Exposition good for the same day of the speaker’s session. If selected as a presenter, the Program Chair will arrange for your day pass if not already registered for the conference and exposition.

Presenter’s Fact Sheet:

A Presenter’s Fact Sheet must be completed for each session topic. You may either download a form and submit via mail, or use the submission form below. A presenter may submit more than one presentation. If selected to present, this information may be printed in the Official Conference Program Guide. It may also be used by a proctor for introduction purposes. Therefore, if there are a number presenters, each must fill out a Presenter’s Fact Sheet. Please include an email address and all requested information. Please submit a short bio for each presenter to be used for their introduction and printed in the program guide, and a head shot photograph for promotional material.
